Education & Eligibility
1. AAO (Generalist):
Education Qualification: Candidates should possess a Graduation degree from any recognized university.
Age Limit: Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age should not exceed 30 years.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 53,600/- to Rs. 1,02,090/-.
2. AAO (IT):
Education Qualification: Graduation in Engineering in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics, or a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics from a recognized Indian University or Institution.
Age Limit: Same as for AAO (Generalist).
Pay Scale: Similar to AAO (Generalist).
3. AAO (Chartered Accountant):
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks and passing the final examination of the ICAI. Additionally, candidates must have at least three years of experience in the relevant field as a Chartered Accountant.
Age Limit: Same as for AAO (Generalist).
Pay Scale: Similar to AAO (Generalist).
4. AAO (Actuarial):
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and passing papers CT1 and CT5, along with at least 4 other papers from the exam administered by the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
Age Limit: Same as for AAO (Generalist).
Pay Scale: Similar to AAO (Generalist).
5. AAO (Rajbhasha):
Education Qualification: Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) or a Postgraduate Degree with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) along with a Diploma/Certification in Hindi translation.
Age Limit: Same as for AAO (Generalist).
Pay Scale: Similar to AAO (Generalist).
6. AAO (Legal):
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years of Bar experience in the legal domain is essential.
Age Limit: Same as for AAO (Generalist).
Pay Scale: Similar to AAO (Generalist).
Selection Process
The selection process for LIC AAO generally consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: An online objective test covering Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness.
- Mains Examination: A descriptive paper (English Language) and objective tests on Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Insurance, and Computer Knowledge.
- Interview: For candidates who qualify in the mains examination.
